Here at S.E.E.D, we have lots of opportunities to bring both volunteers and student counsellors onboard our wonderful team!
As a volunteer, you could help facilitate our support groups and drop in sessions, delivering practical advice to those suffering from eating, food and weight related issues, as well as helping in our carer’s clinics. You could also join our marketing team, helping to share advice across our social media platforms and engage with our users, pointing them in the right direction to get the help they need. We often host fundraising events as well, so we always appreciate people who can volunteer either behind the scenes in the run up to the day, or people who love to be in the centre of it all, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day of the event.
At S.E.E.D we will provide you with all the necessary training to equip you for your given role. This includes Eating Disorder Awareness Training up to Level 3, in addition to specific facilitator training where appropriate and further courses exploring different treatment models and comorbid conditions.
If helping our charity in its mission to provide information, advice, resources, training and practical help for all affected by eating disorders is something you would like to join us in, then get in touch! We look forward to hearing from you.
We are currently looking for several volunteers to join us here at S.E.E.D for a minimum of 5 hours each week (Monday-Saturday).
